Tasmanian Victoria Cross Trail – Huon Valley Pilot
Explores Tasmania’s rich military history.
Come experience the VC trail and explore Tasmania’s rich military history and journey through all parts of the Island as we remember and commemorate recipients who displayed “conspicuous gallantry, or some daring or pre-eminent act of valour or self-sacrifice, or extreme devotion to duty in the presence of the enemy or belligerents” Launching Monday 24th April 2023 in the Huon Valley and recognising the 4 VC recipients from the Huon Valley, this pilot trail will expand further to encompass all 15 VC from the island.

- The Victoria Cross VC, awarded ‘For Valour’, is the highest and most prestigious award that our service personnel can receive.
- There are 15 Tasmanian recipients of this award dating from the Boer War, WWI, WWII right through to modern conflicts.
