We can only understand our Defence family and their needs by using and conducting research. While RSL Tasmania has limited capacity to conduct its own research, we conducted a large survey and analysis of Tasmanian veterans in 2019. This resulted in the Supporting Tasmania’s Veterans Report available at the link below.

Other RSL State Branches conduct more regular and detailed research into their veteran communities. RSL Queensland partners with Gallipoli Medical Research Foundation to conduct major studies. The results are available for us to use as an evidence base to start for our own policy and practice development.
