Mates4Mates New Hobart Centre

Mates4Mates is opening its first Family Recovery Centre in Hobart for wounded, injured and ill Australian Defence personnel and their families.

On Monday 13 October, Mates4Mates will officially open in Hobart to support wounded, injured and ill Australian Defence personnel and their families. Australia’s Invictus Games Captain and Brave Mate, Sapper Curtis McGrath, and triple Olympian, Simon Burgess, will join current and ex-servicemen and women to officially open the Mates4Mates centre.

The Hobart Family Recovery Centre will provide valuable services including physical rehabilitation, counselling for issues like PTSD and will also form a training base for adventure challenges like trekking the Kokoda Track or sailing on Spirit of Mateship.

Mates4Mates Chairman Peter Davies said the Hobart Family Recovery Centre is the first of its kind to open outside of Queensland and acknowledged the support of RSL Queensland and RSL Tasmania in establishing the centre.

The Centre will open at 206 New Town Road, New Town, Hobart If you’re interested in learning more about the Tasmania centre, contact Mates4Mates on 1300 4 MATES (1300 462 837) or via enquiry@mates4mates.org.
